The main components of steel farm storage buildings include rafter, columns, purlins, and pre-painted galvanized metal cladding for roofs and walls. Together, these parts provide the durability and wide, open spans needed to protect heavy machinery and crops.

These buildings are made of pre-engineered, prefabricated steel components designed to handle heavy loads and environmental controls. The primary parts include:
Structural Frame: Consists of vertical columns and horizontal rafter (or trusses), which create the load-bearing grid. These are often made from weld H beam or hot rolled h beam to maximize interior space.
Purlins and Girts: The secondary framing members. Purlins run horizontally along the roof, while girts run along the walls to support and attach the exterior paneling.
Metal Cladding: Corrugated pre-painted galvanized steel sheets that serve as the exterior roofing and wall panels, protecting against weather and pests.
Fasteners & screws: seal the overlaps tightly to keep moisture out.
